At first, military and Government officials developed the internet to use in case of war. As the years went on educators, as well as others (such as scientists) used the internet to exchange research. Even further down the timeline, just about anyone can access the internet for a variety of reasons including the exchange of research, but also for one’s leisure, work, e-mails, and shopping.
