In recent years the importance of extended family has been lost and forgotten in my family. There used to be family reunions annually, celebrating each others birthdays, and sometimes just meeting on Sundays at my grandmother’s house to have Sunday dinners. Majority of that precious time we spent together has since been determinate, but there is one joyous occasion that will stay strong throughout our family history, and that’s Christmas. On Christmas day we gather together and reunite to celebrate before the New Year and also bring a new life into the circle of our family.
In the past the family would get together on a regular basis because my grandmother was ill and there was no time frame on when there would be that one last time to be able to see her. So my grandmother’s children decided to at least have one big event to dedicate to her; something that would keep the family together and they decided to make it Christmas.
