Was Nat turners actions justified in what he did?
Nat turner is justified in his actions in August of 1831.
Nat Turner was born on October 2, 1800. He was born into slavery while being a slave he suffered greatly. He was an escaped slave, who fled north but then came back south because he thought that sprits from heaven had told him to do so. Nat was a very religious man; he felt God was giving him instructions through sprits.
Nat was given a sign from sprits to attack on July 4th, 1831 but this was postponed due to him being sick. On Aug 21, 1831 after seeing an eclipse witch he thought was a sign from the heavens to start the attack, he and more then 50 followers attacked, stabbed, clubbed, and killed nearly 55 people. Turner and his band attacked four plantations successfully, but the fifth attack an alarm was sounded. The alerted white men captured and executed 16 or Turners men.
