David Koresh, born Vernon Wayne Howell was born to a 15 year old single mother in Houston Texas. Going up Koresh never knew who his father was and barley saw his mother, so therefor his grandparents raised him. During one of Koresh's interviews with the F.B.I he had claimed that he had grown up as a very lonely child. He also claimed that his fellow classmates would tease him and call him "Vernie." He was also known for being dyslexic and a not well behaved student which lead him to drop out of high school and becoming a carpenter.
