In the United States, it is said to be that asthma is the most common chronic health condition that's on the rise. Asthma is an inflammatory disease of the lungs (swelling of lungs). The swelling makes the airways very sensitive, which tends to react strongly to things that you are allergic to or find irritating. In result of this they get narrower and less air flows through. This causes symptoms like coughing, wheezing, and chest tightness. In most cases asthma usually begins in childhood. As children grow the severity of asthma can either increase or decrease. Breathing becomes difficult when the airways start to swell. People who are victims of asthma are often short of breath and have chest pains. Some factors that cause asthma attacks are cigarette smoke, cockroaches, dust mites, mold, animals, pollen, cold air, exercise, stress, and respiratory infections.
