Gandhi His Great Reign
“We will not strike a blow, but we will receive them.”
Not many leaders throughout history thought like this, let alone actually followed through with the idea of none violence. Although some did, Gandhi was passionate about none violence. He was so passionate that he put his life at risk for the cause. Gandhi did things different, which probably gave him more credibly because no one knew what was next because it wasn’t done before was.
Through history many leaders agreed that non-violence would be the best way to solve problems, but they didn’t know what the outcome would be so they fought fire with fire. On the other hand Gandhi believed non-violence was best, and he stood behind it. As seen in the above paragraph the quote, “we will not strike a blow, but we will receive them.”
Mohandas Gandhi used civil disobedience to make sure that all they did was”… receiving blows…” and not give them. The fact Gandhi was strong enough to accept blows......
