Encryption

Encryption is a process of securing information by making information unreadable without a key. Encryption has been used for centuries and is a vital tool in sending sensitive information while keeping it safe.
A key part of encryption is the cipher. A cipher is an algorithm used in encryption that transfers the original text to a code. The term used to get the information back to its original form is called decryption. Historical pen and paper ciphers are known as classical ciphers.
In the information technology field encryption has become more complex. Operating systems like Windows and Linux have successfully blocked average users to protect information. The problem with encryption is that human nature has a lot to do with the possible attack to get information. If data is encrypted to a certain user, a hacker can simply log in to the user and retrieve the information. In windows based applications (XP and below), all a hacker needs is the usernames......
