Alcohol Consumption of boys and girls…

My Hypothesis: All girls and boys in the senior years have tried alcohol and continue to drink it on a regular basis. The boys will consume more as their bodies are bigger, and all peoples surveyed drink for pleasure.

Answer: Not all people surveyed have tried alcohol. Boys do consume more alcohol than girls on an average of 4 times a week (for boys) to 2 times a week (for girls). A variety of reasons were given for why they drink soon to be stated below.

I interviewed 60 senior students. 30 from year 12 and 30 from year 11, 15 boys and 15 girls from each year. Surprisingly not all students surveyed have ever tried alcohol, the ones that hadn’t stated that there are better ways to have fun than take drugs. In the age group of 15-18 years the average age they started drinking is 13 years old.
