As I can remember I have not had a writing assignment. I am taking this class to improve my writing skills and to gain promotion points for my career. I was a 9th grade dropout and then gained my GED. The only time I use writing is when I counsel my soldiers. I remember some of my work from my English classes but since joining the army I have gain a bad memory. The reading of the text books has brought back some of my memory so I might be a little crusty in my words.
From what I understand from the text book about the processes of writing have helped. I have writing a list of my discussing points but I am just using them and writing. I did not write a draft copy. I feel I write better from my thoughts then writing them first. When I write letters home they are all scrambled but they seem to get the point across. But this is why I am taking this class to improve my writing.
