William Henry Gates III ( also known as Bill Gates), is known world-wide as the chairman of Microsoft(the world wide leader in software), the software company he founded with Paul Allen, an American entrepreneur,ranked the fifth richest American in the world. William Gates is also an American entrepreneur and a philanthropist (someone who engages in philanthropy; that is, someone who donates his or her time, money, and/or reputation to charitable causes). William was born on 28th October, 1955 in Seattle, Washington to William H. Gates, Jr. (now Sr.) and Mary Maxwell Gates, William has one older sister, Kristi (Kristianne), and one younger sister, Libby.
