ABSTRACT

In this study, the effects of Dimethyl Phthalates and Dibutyl Phthalates on the motility behaviour of reactivated deep frozen bull sperm cells were investigated. A total of twenty experiments were carried out for this work to be successful. Four of them were control experiments and sixteen were the test or impact experiments. In the control experiments, the sperm cell suspension was a 1:2 dilution of reactivated bull semen and 300 mosmol HEPES basic medium. While in the impact experiments, HEPES basic medium was changed to HEPES basic plus stress compound. Four different concentrations of Dimethyl Phthalates and Dibutly Phthalates were used as stress compounds. Motility parameters were measured under exposure of bull sperm cells to 10-3, 10-4, 10-5and 10-6 molar solutions of DMP and 10-5, 10-6, 10-7 and 10-8 molar solutions of DBP. It was also possible to compare the effects of both DMP and DBP at the same......
