Obesity, one of the fastest growing health problems and one of the leading causes of death in the United States. Currently more than 1 billion adults are overweight - and at least 300 million of them are clinically obese (4. www.who.int). If America is one of the richest and advanced countries in the world it should be one of the healthiest. Even though we are living in a country with great economic power and technological advancement, it is very sad to say but Americans are some of the unhealthiest people in the world. When you look up the word “Disease” it says an impairment or abnormality of the normal state or functioning of the body as a whole or of any of its parts. Obesity is a life threatening condition that falls in the category of disease because it is creating major health problems in America.
