Abstract
An appreciation of the patterns of poverty and inequality is important for the analysis and direction of economic growth and development. This study extends previous studies in poverty, growth, and inequality with an interesting analysis in the Nigeria scene. The study employs the regression-based approach to determine the causal relation of the afore-mentioned triangle. The result shows that, the growth in Nigeria is not pro-poor - not helping matters in the comatose of poverty situation within the period of the study.
