Meet Nick. Eight and a half years ago, my family adopted Nick from the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or the SPCA. Nick is without a doubt the most loving, enthusiastic, friendly dog I have ever come across, and it pains me to know that without the SPCA, animals like Nick would be left without homes, without food, and most upsetting, without love. Through personal experience and research, I have gathered a wealth of information I would like to share with you today about the SPCA. The SPCA has been working for 184 years to prevent animal cruelty, save numerous lives, and bring the joy of owning a pet to people worldwide. Because most people love animals, and because the SPCA is the most recognizable animal organization worldwide, I would like to take this time to inform you about the history of the SPCA, the SPCA’s mission, and about SPCA’s adoption and volunteer process.
