Anne Bradstreet, an amazing woman, wife, mother and poet.
After having the privilege of being introduced to her work and the opportunity to read it I feel that my first statement is more than accurate.
In reading her poetry you will find an enormous strength in her faith in “God”. She has questioned him a number of times but never fallen short of believing that He, Christ is her savior. Even as she lay on her death bed writing the letter to her children, weak and fragile, she preaches to them and tells them how God has touched her ever since she was a child, with hopes that her stories, claims, and experience will lead them into the Glory of God.
Anne has a way of expressing her love and devotion to her Husband in a way that I have never seen. Reading her words, you can feel the love she has for this man. How she truly longs for him when he is away. She comes across as if her whole world is falling apart when he is not in her presence, and the whole world could come......
