Other than a journey to Egypt when he was an infant and a trip to Tyre and Sidon, all of Jesus' life was spent in Israel. Mary and her husband Joseph returned to Nazareth after the death of Herod to avoid living under the rule of Archelaus, Herod's son. Baptized at about age 30 Jesus worked either as a carpenter or as a builder and most likely with his father. (Mark 6:3, Matthew 13:55)
Jesus started his life's mission after the baptism by John the Baptist. A scant three years later the Roman rulers executed him at the request of the Sanhedrin (supreme Jewish court made up of chief priests, elders, and law teachers).......
