Between the years of 1920 and 1923, just after World War I, the country of Germany suffered through a period of crisis. What is it that caused such a damaging phase in this country? The Allies in Germany had established a destructive government whose only achievement was the wide spread of universal sufferage (INSERT). The Weimar Republic was born out of turmoil and defeat, under near civil war conditions and hampered by a harsh peace settlement and an unstable economy. It is because of this that Germany was then constantly subjected to attacks from left and right (INSERT).
In november of 1918, a parliamentary republic was proclaimed in Germany known as the Weimar Republic. The Weimar Republic was named after the town in which it was developed (INSERT). It was a poor excuse for a government and was doomed to fail from the start. A government can not properly operate when not wanted, encouraged, nor expected by the public.
