Reason: It is possible, with enough heat or pressure or atomic bombardment to split a molecule: if we can split the atom itself, a molecule is a piece of cake. But to make a molecule no longer want to stay together would require a bit more force; some atomic bonds are ionic; imagine trying to make a field......
