Violence in Video Games
Ever wonder what would happen if a parent bought their child that video game that they have
been wanting? They look at the box it comes in and the Electronic Software Ratings Board
(ESRB) rating is M for Mature due to graphic violence. If they are like most parents, their child
has been begging them for this game and so they ignore the rating and purchase the game for
their child. And then their child starts to become more aggressive. Aggression caused by
exposure to violent video games may be lessened through increased parental supervision.
Over the last several years, numerous studies have been conducted trying to prove that there
