Substitute of Consumerism
Two basic needs of human being are to manufacturing and consuming said Sen (2007). However, day by day consumption has became a wastage than satisfying basic needs. Shah (2008) added that : “we consumed a variety of resources and products today having moved beyond basic needs to include luxury items and technological innovations to try to improve efficiency.” (par.3). In the light of the information above, now consumption is more than a need that affects our lives.
Consumption affects our lives in all respect with its power. Therefore, Sen (2007) explainsed that nowadays consumption is beyond an addiction, it is a passion and a power that affects and directs societal values.
