10 Reasons for the Revolution

1. One of the reasons that the colonists came to the Americas, was to have certain freedoms, such as religious freedom.

1. Colonists longed to be considered British as the British believed that they were born with certain privilege and that anyone who was not British was basically “less than human”. The colonists would fight wars against the French (who utilized the help of the Indians) for the British. Yet fighting the wars was all for not. They were forced to give back all of the land that was won by a country that was not even there. On top of this, they were not even allowed the basic rights associated with the English Bill of Rights. Most of the reasons that the Colonists came to the Americas were to experience more freedom, which was not what they received at all.
