Hebrews 9:27-28
9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Introduction: We all have three appointments an (1) Appointment To Live, (1) Appointment To Die, and an (1) Appointment To Judgement. The question for today is, "What Happens When We Die?" This is an important question because death is something we all eventually face. The Statistics on death are appalling. The numbers tell us that 100 out of 100 people will eventually die.
And death is no respecter of persons. It strikes the old and the young, the sick and the healthy, the poor and the rich, the good and the bad. I'm sure you've heard the old joke about two friends (we'll call them Don and Fred) who wanted to know if they play baseball in Heaven.
