I scanned my environment for ideas. I asked myself, "What is it with meat?" I realized most food retail establishments in the Philippines were into low-priced, low nutrition and unhealthy commercial food products. The market had very few healthier alternatives. There and then I knew there had to be something better. I became curious about vegetarianism. So one day to satisfy my thirst, I surfed the web for answers. I was astonished with the answers and information I found out. One English website showed statistics that 10% of UK's population is vegetarian and growing and 25% of the world population is trying to reduce meat consumption. One main reason for this is the plague of animal based sickness spreading globally such as Mad Cow Disease which is the effect of using Genetically Modified Organisms in feeds, fertilizers and products.
