This movie is unrealistic and horrible. It has been said many times that a movie gains popularity if it embodies a culture or ideology of a particular society. No wonder this is the highest grossing film of all time, it embodies many not so positive elements of the American dream. You don't need economic or social stability in your life, "I love waking up in the morning not knowing what's gonna happen or, who I'm gonna meet, where I'm gonna wind up"(As spoken by our heroine). In other words, life is a playground, do whatever you please. You could get an education in college or you could just run around like Jack gambling your life away; it's all indifferent when taking this movie's message into account. This indifference is a reoccurring theme from our beloved heroine, and symbolic toward the message it portrays. Jack is going to America and he doesn't need a plan for the future, he is just going to follow his so-called "romantic will" and see where it takes him. Sadly, this value......
