The United States should stay part of the United Nations. President Franklin D. Roosevelt started the United Nations after WWII. The United States has been a member of the United Nations since it started. This allowing us to be part of the Big Five, The Big Five is the five major powers that are the permanent members of the Security Council. The Big Five members are Great Britain, France, China, Russia, US. The US has been paying its dues every since. As of today there are 191 members of the United Nations.
It is an advantage for the United States to stay in the United Nations, because the U.S is one of the Big Five on the Security Council. The United Nations cannot do anything that the Big Five disagree with. This is an advantage because nothing can be done without the entire Big Five agreeing to it.
