I will show that the death penalty can not be justified for any crime no matter how terrible.
Capital punishment, or the death penalty, is the execution of a convicted criminal by the State as punishment for crimes known as capital crimes or capital offenses. The word "capital" is derived from the Latin "capitalis," which means "concerning the head"; therefore, to be subjected to capital punishment means to figuratively lose your head. The death penalty is irreversible, “Since the death penalty was restored (in America) more than 90 death row inmates have been proved to be innocent and freed” (BBC website : Reporter Charles Wheeler). These people can not be brought back. Anything that involves even one such error is unacceptable. Where the death penalty is used, juries are often afraid to convict someone in case they are wrong; in this way, many criminals escape punishment (if the penalty was imprisonment, juries would be less afraid) Also people......
