The life of a humanitarian is not a life of dependence on other people, nor a life of secrecy. A perfect example a humanitarian’s life is a small man that made a big difference. This man is Mohandas Gandhi. This man was thought to be a God figure of peace to the people of India. This single man is thought to be the father of India and because of this he was given the name “Mahatma”, which means great soul.

One of my main points about why Gandhi is a humanitarian is because of his amazingly persuasive ways. With Mahatma being a political leader and this making him of a higher stature, he used nonviolent ways to create peace between religious groups or even all the way to countries in a political disagreement. Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar India. One of the best examples of Mahatma’s non-violent persuasion is how he managed to free a country a country from another country’s rule.
