Brian's Winter
Book Summary

Brian's winter is a great representation of survival and courage. Thirteen year-old Brian is stranded in The Canadian wilderness, and he has nothing except for the survival pack which was on the plane. Nobody knew he was alive, so no one came to rescue him. He managed to survive off the survival pack for the summer, but as winter came closer he knew he needed something more.

Brian comes across a lot of challenges and conflicts throughout the story, one of which is dealing with dangerous animals such as bears. Brian is forced to adapt to the Canadian wilderness, and find out a way to survive. He manages to build lots of tools such as: snowshoes, a camp site, and a weapon to hunt with. Not only is this ordeal a physical strain on Brian, it is also a mental strain on him. At night he hallucinates, and hears things. He starts missing his parents, and those are only some of the challenges that he has to face while still trying to get out alive.......
