Stress and the Body
Stress is the body's reaction to any change that requires an adjustment or response. The body reacts to these changes with physical, mental, and emotional responses. Stress is a normal part of life. Many events that happen to you and around you, and many things that you do yourself put stress on your body. The human body is designed to experience stress and react to it. Stress can be positive, giving us adrenaline to keep us alert, but stress can become negative when a person faces many stressful situations without relief between them. As a result, tension from stress builds up. When stress continues to build up it causes distress, a negative stress reaction. Distress can interrupt the body's internal balance causing many health problems.
Research suggests that stress can bring on or worsen certain symptoms or diseases. Chronic stress is known to so the following: Dizziness or a general feeling of "being out of it", general aches and pains, grinding teeth,......
