The death penalty or capital punishment is a very controversial issue, commonly debated by the people of the United States. On the one side you have the people believing capital punishment is the best thing ever to happen to the Justice System and on the other hand many believe capital punishment is outdated, overused, and flat out immoral. I, myself lie more towards the in favor side of the issue. I feel you cannot put a price on someone's life, a person has the power to make the choice to commit a crime, and that the law needs to protect the people no matter how harsh it seems.
You simply cannot put a price on the life of an individual. In order to be placed on death row, one must commit an act of murder. If one can take someone's life from them so easily, I believe the punishment of death obviously fits the crime. A life for a life is the motto we should abide by.
