Introduction
This paper will discuss the implementation, use of an enterprise DBMS, the advantages and disadvantages of an enterprise DBMS. A database management system , or DBMS, gives the user access to their data and helps them transform the raw data into information. The DBMS is just a collection of programs that manages the database structure and controls access to the data stored in the database. These systems allow users to create, update, and extract information from their databases. When the mainframes dominated enterprise computing, the DBMS architecture was simpler concern. Mostly everything ran on the mainframe and that was that. Even for a mainframe DBMS implementation, the overall architecture will likely consist of multiple platforms and interpreting pieces of system software.
