Rate of Reaction

Aim
My aim for this experiment is to find the rate of reaction of the following chemicals shown below in the equation furthermore I will use different concentrations of Hydrochloric acid. I will time the rates and record them, plotting them onto a graph showing the line of best fit.

Equation

Sodium Thiosulphate + Hydrochloric acid -> sodium chloride + sulphur + sulphur dioxide + water
Na2S2O3(aq) + 2HCl(aq) -> 2NaCl(aq) + S(s) + SO2(g) + H2O(l)

Shown above is the equation for Sodium Thiosulphate + Hydrochloric acid this also contains the balanced symbol equation.

Equipment Diagram

Practical Procedure and Method

The above shows a diagram in order of sequence, to illustrate my approach and equipment I will use to find the rate of reaction using different molar concentrations of Hydrochloric acid. During my preliminary I will use 3 concentrations of Hydrochloric acid solutions measured in molar (m). The concentrations I will use are 1 m, 1.5 m......
