Sprinters with a Problem
“Hurdlers are sprinters with a problem. They’re not satisfied with just sprinting. Anybody can sprint, some not as well as others, but anybody can sprint. Not everyone can run hurdles” (Hurdle Page) '' Denny Moyer. Many people may think that hurdling is sprinting and jumping over barriers. However, this assumption is wrong. Hurdling is not jumping. So what is hurdling? Hurdling is simply described as “leaping over a hurdle or a barrier”. A hurdle race, long (400 meters) or short (100/110 meters), typically involves leaping or hurdling over a set of ten hurdles. In high school though, a long hurdle race consists of only eight hurdles because it is shortened from the 400 meters to 300 meters. Hurdling is very important in my life and it is something that I am good at. When I met Melissa Keisling I knew instantly that we both shared that in common. I began working......
