Should the U.S. continue to use Capital Punishment? I believe that Capital Punishment is a great deterrent for criminals in today’s society. For certain crimes that are broken, there needs to be a strict and just punishment that is strong enough for the crime committed. I am not alone in my way of thinking. There are many state governments that feel the same way. There are some that want to broaden the list of crimes that justify the use of Capital Punishment. Texas and Tennessee wants to broaden Capital Punishment to cover child molesters that comment no murders. Virginia is looking to broaden Capital Punishment for accomplices to murder, and for people who murder judges or witnesses in trials. Many people believe in giving people a second chance for their “mistakes”. I believe there are no mistakes in killing someone. No one ever accidently held a knife and stabbed someone repeatedly.
