One of the several reasons that marijuana should be legalized is that it would be economically beneficial to the country. If marijuana was legalized American companies can produce new and better products to sale on the market. The government could also be able to tax the products as they do cigarettes. The legalization of the drug would send store incomes through the roof all over the country. It might also help the government prevent minors from getting hold of the drug through regulating the age requirements to purchase the substance as they cigarettes and alcohol. In this time of economic crisis every bit can help and marijuana is a defiantly an untapped resource that could greatly benefit the economy.
