Working in such a large corporation, many office automation and group collaboration tools are used. Office Automation involves the planned application of integrated information systems and methods to improve the efficiency of employees in an office environment (Engelbart, 1996). Working in human resources (HR) department, we utilize many office automation and collaboration systems. Some of the common systems HR staff use is email, internal intranet, payroll tools, employee information systems, and applicant tracking software.
For our non-exempt payroll system we use a tool called ADP eTime. This is payroll software that allows employees to either punch their time stamp with a time swipe badge or punch in through their desktop computer. This system allows managers to review and edit employee......
