These days with all the technology advancements that are available, it’s hard not to use the Internet or email to communicate or research. However, with these methods being available, there must be some type of regulations when being used in the workplace. Companies provide Internet access and email use to their employees in order to improve the quality and functionality of the workplace. In most instances, many tasks cannot be accomplished without using email as a communication method or using the Internet for research. With that in mind, it is important to understand why companies create email and Internet use policies and what laws the government has set for privacy policies.
