A recent scholarly article, Secure Employee Mobility and the Need for Identity Assurance, on a network remote access security topic was written in 2008 by RSA (the security division of EMC). There are companies that are thinking ahead of others and already using technology that allows employees to be mobile or away from the office. Secure Employee Mobility and the Need for Identity Assurance states that, “By the year 2011, 46.6 million corporate employees globally will spend at least one day a week teleworking, and that 112 million employees will work from home at least one day per month.” The main concern is and will be for security on the network’s remote access.
