Legal age at which alcohol can be consumed
It is indisputable that excessive consumption or misuse of alcohol can render sometimes deadly outcomes. However, it is commonly overlooked as something harmless. Many people argue that the current age of drinking should be lowered while others question whether should it remain the same. In the United States the legal drinking age is 21. The opinions of many express that age 21 is an appropriate age to consume alcohol but to others it needs to be lowered. Age 21 is an appropriate age where judgment is better and persons more responsible, therefore lowering the age for acceptable drinking increases risks. I am one who supports the current age of legal consumption of alcohol.
There are many constructive reasons why it’s much safer to keep the legal age of drinking alcohol to the same as it is. The age of drinking alcohol shouldn’t lower to age 18 because a teenager’s body hasn’t fully......
