After the War

For the new first generation of Americans the war was a time for change for them. They really had no ties to the British government and were striving to better the country as a whole and make things better for the people as individuals. They wanted for the people to be represented in the government by choosing their candidate to represent them. “”If people in their collective capacity nominate a candidate, they will support that candidate; the same majority which nominated will prevail.” (A Mosaic of America vol.1) As inheritors of the Revolutionary war the people felt that they had a responsibility to serve the government for the people because that is what they their ancestors fought for. They did not want what their ancestors fought for to be for nothing. They wanted an American that was equal in representations for everyone and not just the wealthy or high class, but for the poor to.
Some people just wanted personal independence by this they just wanted......
