Merriam-Webster states that abortion is the “expulsion of a fetus from the womb before it is developed enough to survive.” If abortion is the termination of a pregnancy, then why are abortion clinics called “reproductive health clinics,” when their manifest is to kill innocent children and stop reproduction (McCuen)? Abortion was illegal in every state in the union in 1960 (find.galegroup.com).

Meet Norma McCorvey, twenty-one and single, living in Texas, with a five year old daughter that she can’t afford and another baby on the way. Since McCorvey could not afford her five year old, her mother took custody of the child. McCorvey knew that she was in no condition to care for another child, so she turned to abortion in 1969.
