1. Before the strike all of the workers were working for bad pay and hated their jobs. At Montgomery Ward & CO. the garment workers started to walk out of work. Then the teamsters would not haul or deliver to this boycotted firm. New companies were added to this list such as: coal, express companies, department stores, and lumber firms. Many riots started and people were killed. People would set the piles of lumber on fire. Woman started getting involved by beating people with poles.
2. The lumber firms, department stores, coal dealers, express companies, women, and many wholesale houses were involved in these strikes. I think they helped the unions because because there were so many more of them that it actually started to show the companies that something was wrong.
3. I do not think that this is totally a biased story. Even though he was part of a union, he still says that they did stuff wrong as well. The author does describe the company’s wrongs more than their wrongs,......
