Dear Sir Scott:
I disagree in your essay “America Must Take Stronger Measures to Halt Illegal Immigration” when you wrote, “California taxpayers subside illegal immigrants.” (559).
Every single immigrant is potential consumer and they have to pay taxes for almost everything. Some of those immigrants get an ITIN (individual tax identification number) to report their income and pay taxes. Whereas, there are some illegal that work with fake documents to avoid report income and then they do not pay taxes.
For those who pay taxes with their ITIN number, nobody can guaranties that someday they will get any social benefit from the government because of their illegal status.
