Among many kind of stories I have read, the story I like best is "The Last Leaf".
The last leaf is one of the stories from the ninth standard English Text Book, Myanmar. It had written by O.Heney. The story was about three artists, two young ladies and old man. The young ladies were Johnsy and Sue. The old man was Mr.Behrman. Sue was from Maine and Johnsy was from California. They came to a Greenwich village to make their living. They lived at the top of a three-story brick house. Mr.Behrman lived beneath them. He considered himself as a watch-dog and protector for the two young artists living above him. One day Johnsy fell ill. She suffered from pneumonia. She saw an old vine on the wall of the opposite house. Its leaves were falling fast. Johnsy thought that she would die when the last leaf fell. When the last leaf fell, Behrman painted a green leaf on wall. He had to do it in a very cold and rainy night. Johnsy thought that something had made the last leaf stay there.......
