Midterm question # 1 “Importance of history”
History is “the branch of knowledge dealing with past events”. Studying history as a personal opinion is or should be the passage to a better future in which mistakes will happen but shouldn’t be repeated. Studying world history gives society an insight of different cultures to make the people more open and less bias. World history also helps the people understand change and how society came to be. Studying world history is very essential to determining weather these changes we are incurring are for the better or worst. Knowing history also assists in making one more humble in appreciating what our fellow ancestors has accomplished when pertaining to technology. In examining the validity of world history repeating it self I have come to the conclusion that history does not necessarily repeats itself.
