Monkey Wrench Gang
1. In the novel “The Monkey Wrench Gang,” I found that each character represented normal people found in a society. Together the representations brought a familiar idea about the people inside of a society.
The character Ms. B. Abbzug also known as Bonnie represented the common “hippie” girl. She had “Intelligence It seems that the modern day “hippie” have become really intelligent when it comes to the natural world. That is one of the things the gang was trying to protect. Bonnie also smoked a lot of marijuana joints the looked like cigarettes. Again the persona of “hippies” is that they smoke a lot of weed. She was also quite the pacifist, as most “hippies” are. Bonnie says, “I don’t want to kill anybody, though. I don’t think I do.” Ms. Abbzug was also trying to find religion throughout the book, just like many “hippies.” She often asked “Whose side is God on?” This leads to another character by the name of Seldom Seen......
