Michel is a crass womanizer who has no qualms in killing a cop while Jamal is altruistic and described by his interrogator as “too truthful.” Breathlessis a 1960 film by Jean-Luc Godard which tells the story of Michel, a criminal trafficker of sorts, as he attempts to obtain money and run away to Paris with his lover Patricia. Unfortunately, Michel shoots a policeman chasing him for a traffic violation he committed early in the movie and in doing so, creates the main conflict in the story. What was supposed to be a simple money transfer from a fellow gangster, Berruti, is made difficult due to the constant hounding of two detectives.
