Why Do People Commit Crime
Why do some people decide to commit a crime? I believe that people commit crime for many different reasons, and there can many different factors involved that can influence someone to commit crime but ultimately it comes down to free will. People have to make a conscience choice to do the action and commit the crime. I do not discredit outside forces that can compel us to commit the crime but people must make the choice to commit the act. Although, psychological factors where the individual does not have control of himself is an issue but is not the main source of why people as a whole commit crime.
When looking at all the different factors of crime and what might cause someone to commit an act that is prohibited by society, I like to look at the philosophy of Aristotle and his point of view on why people behave in certain ways. In Aristotle's view, humans have a combination of a......
